Our Workplace Cooperation/ Safety Team evaluated previous injuries in our company and within the industry, and issued a "Two Minute Drill" safety initiative.
This procedure involves taking time before starting any task to evaluate hazards in your area. "Two Minute Drill" wallet cards were distributed to every employee at Ernest D. Menold, Inc. Every employee is to take the time before beginning a new task to go through the bullet points on the card in order to properly asses the hazards or possible points of danger they my be exposed to. It is an excellent way to get focused and possibly correct any issues that arise before beginning a job or task.
